CAUTION: If a non-BPS community member or business calls and indicates that they are receiving attendance or outreach calls intended for a student and would like to be opted out of the system, BPS staff should first determine which student has the wrong number connected to their record so that the school can contact the parent and update the record.

Opting in a third number, such as a grandparent: If you add another phone number directly to the student's contact record in Connect, it will be overwritten by the nightly upload. However, since Brevard County has a MyConnect portal, the parent can register through the portal and add the grandmother's phone number to receive all phone calls. When a recipient registers with the MyConnect portal, they can add as many phone numbers as they would like. Information entered through the portal is also not overwritten by the nightly upload. Here is the link to the portal: https://bps.bbcportal.com/Entry
