The Ste. Genevieve School District Preschool offers a full day program that holds classes Monday through Friday 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM with part-time options available (MWF, T/TH). The program follows the school districts school calendar year.
Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from school.
The early childhood preschool offers classes that are multi-age groupings of 3 year through 5 year old preschool children, with priority given to children one year away from Kindergarten. Learning and instruction is individualized as children progress at their own rate and experience success. Research shows that when the classroom is composed of a community of learners with a range of abilities and ages, there are measurable gains in socialization, independence, and interaction with peers. Younger children will be nurtured by older children and benefit from collaborative learning. Older children will show increased levels of competence and leadership.
A teacher and teacher assistant will be employed for a class of 11-20 students.
The following are required upon admittance into the program:
Be willing and able to provide transportation for your child to and from school.
Be responsible for making sure you child attends school every day.
Agree to pay weekly by check or cash for tuition payments.
Students must be fully toilet trained.
Parents will have the option of participating in the school food service options for breakfast and lunch or provide breakfast before arriving and/or a nutritious sack lunch. An aftenoon snack will be provided by the school daily for each child.
