What's better than receiving a thoughtful, handmade gift?!! Nothing!
Assignment Criteria/Requirements:
10 songs that represent how you feel about this special someone (could be a gf/bf, friend, family member, yourself!)
Gradient background
Different texts that add to the meaning of each song and different colors
A text effect on 5 + fonts
Masked images one for each song
NO PHOTOS should be retangular, all masked
Gradient
Click on the gradient tool
Choose your preferred gradient style and color
Fonts
Go to DAFONT.com
Click download on the font
Open Finder
3. Go to downloads and double click on the font you just DOWNLOADED!
4. Double click on the .zip file then open folder
5. Double on any and all files with ".otf" or ".ttf" ending
6. A window pops up, click INSTALL
7. Ta-dah, font will be in PS
Text Effects
Select/ highlight your text layer
Click on the FX button at the bottom of your layers
Select ONE or MORE effects:
*EACH EFFECT can be edited to your need
How to make your own brush:
On a blank layer, draw/ write/ design your brush
Use the rectangular Marquee tool to select your entire image
Go to Edit > define brush preset
Label your brush and click ok
Your brush has been added to the bottom of your brushes in PS
Masking
Select the layer with the image you want to edit
Using a selection tool of your choice:
Select your subject
*if you OVER SELECT, hold down the OPTION key and click on top of the excess selection to DESELECT without starting over
3. When you have a good selection, click on the MASK icon at the BOTTOM of your layers!
