Welcome to the Torrey Pines High School Multilingual Learner Program!

The Multilingual Learner Program (formerly called the English Language Learner Program) is made up of over 140 multilingual students from all over the world, and right here in San Diego.  We are proud to have students from over 60 countries who speak over 40 home languages enriching our campus with their cultures and perspectives. MLLs are  developing skills in the English language while meeting rigorous graduation and college entrance requirements.

All courses are taught in English with supports to help students access academic content in English.  TPHS is proud of our multilingual learners, and we value the cultures and perspectives our students bring to the Torrey Pines community.  Our multilingual learner team is committed to supporting the academic, social and language development of our students, and to celebrating the assets they bring with them as they learn English.
