Welcome to the Torrey Pines High School Multilingual Learner (MLL) Program!
The Multilingual Learner Program (formerly called the English Language Learner Program) is made up around 100 multilingual students from all over the world, and right here in San Diego. Our Multilingual Falcons enrich our campus with their cultures and perspectives. MLLs are developing skills in the English language while meeting rigorous graduation and college entrance requirements.
All courses are taught in English with supports to help students access academic content in English. Our multilingual learner team is committed to supporting the academic, social and language development of our students, and to celebrating the assets they bring with them as they learn English.
Multilingual Learner Program Goals:
To develop English language proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
To provide access to grade level content area instruction as well as the opportunity to be four-year college eligible.
To help students, parents and caregivers thrive at Torrey Pines High School and access the resources they need to do so!
