With an extensive 27-year tenure as a high school theatre teacher, Jeannine Marquie has dedicated her career to fostering the development of students in the realm of performing arts. Her commitment to education is underscored by her roles as a teaching artist, collaborating with esteemed organizations such as Playwright’s Project, Young Audiences of San Diego, and La Jolla Playhouse’s YPW.

While contributing to the San Diego theatre scene, Jeannine has performed in venues such as Diversionary Theatre, The San Diego Repertory Theatre, The La Jolla Playhouse, Cygnet Theatre, the former 6th at Penn, Starlight Music Theatre, Sledgehammer Theatres, North Coast Repertory Theatre, Moxie Theatre.

Currently serving as the Director of the theatre program at Canyon Crest Academy in Carmel Valley, Jeannine not only imparts her wealth of experience as a teacher but also brings her expertise to the directorial realm within the high school theatre setting. Her dual role emphasizes her dedication to both education and the practical application of theatrical skills in a scholastic context.
