Meet The Teachers

Mr. Canfield

This is my 6th year teaching elementary physical education. As a former division 3 baseball player I have a deep passion for sports. I have played and coached many different sports including baseball, basketball, and cross country. Most of my free time is spent outdoors running, hiking, playing frisbee, golf, and the occasional trip to Wrigley Field.  I am excited to have everyone in PE, and am looking forward to an amazing school year. Ms. Ternes 

This will be my 3rd year teaching P.E. at Hammerschmidt. I graduated from Concordia Chicago and was a part of the women's basketball team there. I have both played and coached a variety of sports including basketball, soccer, and volleyball. I spend my time being active, going on walks, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I am so excited for this upcoming school year and I am looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
