Meet the Teacher 2024-2025: RAINBOW
My name is Korbie Vaughan. I was born and raised in Pocatello, ID and have lived here all my life (with the exception of the 1 year that I lived in Long Island New York as a nanny). I went to Tendoy Elementary school from Kindergarten-6th grade (see the picture of me in the 3rd grade), Franklin Middle school from 7th-9th grade, Highland High school from 10th-12th grade, and then I attended Idaho State University for 4 years.
As a child I danced, played the piano, but my favorite thing to do was play sports (which included soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, and softball). My favorite sport is soccer and it has been a big part of my life. I started when I was 5 years old. I played for PVSC, I played for Franklin Middle school, Highland High school, and I continued my love for the sport at Idaho State University for 4 years. I taught dance for about 7 years including clogging, which I also competed in. I have coached soccer for over 25 years, including 11 years as a high school coach, and have recently decided to coach a girls team for the CGA club.
I have been married to my husband Brandon (from Malad) for 24 years. He is the Middle School principal at AIameda. We have 3 children: my daughter Kayzee is 20, my son Krew is 14, and my son Kian is 12. We also have an important member of the family, Marlow our crazy boxer dog. I have been teaching at Chubbuck Elementary for 22 years including: 8 years in Title I, 2 years in 1st Grade, and 12 years in 3rd Grade. Chubbuck is also our home school so I got to have all of my children at school with me. This year is my first year without one of my children here. I love Chubbuck school and am lucky to have the opportunity to teach here!
