My Family
A Little Bit About Me:
I am passionate about two things: learning and building relationships. I love to read almost anything, think about deep and meaningful ideas, and challenge myself to grow each day. On the other hand, I love to spend time listening to, laughing with and loving my family, my friends and my students.
8th Grade Language Arts:
Welcome to eighth grade! I am excited to get to know each of you as we work hard and have fun this year. I am one of your language arts teachers, and my focus is helping you grow as a reader, writer and speaker. I want you to be the best communicator you can be so that you are successful in the world we live in.
I firmly believe that no matter where we start, we can always grow and become better. We will do this by reading, writing and speaking every day!
A book is made from a tree. It is an assemblage of flat, flexible parts (still called “leaves”) imprinted with dark pigmented squiggles. One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time—proof that humans can work magic. — Carl Sagan
