About Me

Originally from southern Michigan, my high school years at Jackson Northwest were spent playing varsity basketball as well as being heavily involved in the band program. After graduating, I spent my first two years of college at the University of Michigan. I had amazing experiences with the Michigan Marching Band, including playing at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California and the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. I then transferred to Central Michigan University where I earned my Bachelor degree in Music Education in four years. A highlight of my time at CMU was a trip to China to perform with the choirs at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

This 2020-21 school year, my teaching duties include bands in grades 7-12. I am looking forward to tackling an interesting 10th year here in St. Croix Falls!

Outside of school, my wife and I enjoy time with our spirited and active daughters - Spencer (5) and Ellison (2 this November). Personally, I continue to play basketball and golf in my free time.
