Rules, Routines, and Set Up
Expectations
1. I will come to class on time & prepared with materials and homework.
2. I will respect others and their property.
3. I will listen to others.
5. I will allow others and myself to learn.

General Classroom Routine:
Daily Do Now:
This will be related to learning target for the day. It may be a review of yesterday's lesson, a vocabulary activity, a comprehension question, writing prompt, or some other morning prompt.
Main learning activity
This is directly related to learning targets for the day. Students will work on a task or multiple tasks to help them be successful in meeting the targets for the day.
This could be whole class, individual, pair, or small group work on the skills for the day with feedback from the teacher. This can also be a time of reteaching if students did not understand the concept.

answer ticket out the door question
ask a question you still have
demonstrate learning in various ways
Late Work and Make Up Work
Late Work:
Assignments receive 5 points off for every day they are late.
Make Up Work:
If a student is absent for a planned school activity, the student is expected to notify the teacher before the activity for work. The work is to be turned in when the student returns, unless otherwise stated.
If a student is sick or has another excused absence, the student has as many days as s/he was absent to make up the work.
Class Set Up
Writer's Notebook:
Students will have a reader's/writer's notebook.
In this notebook students will respond to reading, take notes, and complete first drafts of writing assignments. They will stay in the classroom.

Drafts/Critical Thinking
