I feel that the words from our school mission statement, “To inspire each student to think, to learn, to achieve, to create, and to care,” guide my teaching style each and every day! My job is to create a learning environment in which I am able to engage and inspire each of my students to take risks, to ask questions, to do their best, and to not be afraid to try something new. My classroom is typically very active with a mix of collaborative and independent assignments/activities. I love seeing that “Ah ha!” moment when my students learn from one another. It’s important that my students know that we are all learning together...and even when they are adults, they will never stop learning!

I can’t imagine working anywhere else! :)
