The Hollis Brookline Swim Team was started in 1999 and is coached by David Hersey and Bob Ouellette.
Mr. Hersey has been a School Counselor since 2015 and has been working in the Counseling department at Hollis Brookline for the past five years. He began swimming at less than a year old, swam competitively starting at the age of 5, and continues to swim regularly. Mr. Hersey gained his coaches certification through the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
Mr. Ouellette began coaching swimming in 1975 as the Coach of a summer team in Manchester, NH and has since coached age-group, high school and adult swimmers and triathletes.
Mr. Ouellete holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
He holds certifications as an ASCA Level 2 and US Masters level 3 coach as well as being certified as an Open Water Coach and certified lifeguard. He is the Chairperson of the NHIAA Swimming and Diving Committee and is the Zone 1 representative to the NFHS Swimming and Diving Rules Committee.
