Parents,

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns, I believe that we are on the same team to help your child be happy and successful this year. You are welcome to visit our class anytime after you sign in and get a visitor badge. Your child's history notebook Table of Contents is a running record of what we do in class, and is a good way to start a conversation at home about what we are doing in class.

Career talks: I have taught science for 25 years, and plan to teach history with a focus on the scientific and technical achievements of the middle ages, and connect these to current advances. If you work in any field related science, technology, engineering, journalism, or international issues, please consider coming in and doing a short talk about your work. Kids love to hear a voice from the "real world". I am very flexible about scheduling, so e-mail me if you are interested.

Raffle Box: I do a raffle every two weeks, and ask that you consider donating things to the prize box. Books, toys, the skates or bike that no longer fits anyone in the family, stuffed animals, gently used clothes and shoes. I will take nearly anything!
