Ms. Latuszek's Math Classes
Hello, my name is Nicole Latuszek and I teach Math 7 and Step Up to Math 7. I have been teaching mathematics for the last 20 years with experience of two years at the 8th grade level and eighteen at the 6th grade level, I am so excited to get to teach 7th grade for the first time this year! I received my Masters Degree in Math Education from San Diego State University in 2008. I have a passion for mathematics and love of teaching, so I feel very fortunate to be able to combine those two fields as a math teacher! On a personal note, I am married with two children (23 and 14 years). I have one dog (Banjo) and two cats (Zander and Jolene.) I like camping, hiking, backpacking, skiing, stand up paddle boarding and mountain biking.
We have new curriculum at the middle school in SDUSD this year, we will be using Amplify Desmos Math (ADM). As ADM does not have a traditional textbook, much of the student lessons and work will be done on the computer. The students will recieve a student workbook to use throughout the year. As this curriculum is new to me, I too will be a learner as I become familiar with the structure and format of this new learning platform. I am confident that it will be a great one and I am excited to embark on this journey of learning together!
