You MUST attend the dress rehearsal in costume.
Performance Day: Thurs, March 23 @ 7:00 p.m. in the SHS Performing Arts Center.
Rules and Regulations:
Participants are limited to four minutes on stage.
All participants must be currently enrolled at SHS (includes Saline Alternative High School students).
Participants must be able to set up and clear their stage in 2 minutes or less (with help).
If singing, songs must be of suitable content for a high school performance. Use radio-friendly versions of the songs; explicit lyrics will not be condoned.
Damage to the stage area in any way is not tolerated (i.e. No smashing of guitars on stage or water being thrown!).
Open flames are not allowed in the auditorium (including lighters, candles, sparklers, and explosives).
No motorized vehicles on stage.
Appropriate dress is required. Shirts must cover stomach and chest, and pants must cover the backside. This rule applies to both men and women.
Participants must attend a full day of school the day of the event or they will not be able to participate.
Light and sound will be provided.
Participants are expected to rid the auditorium of all props, etc. that they use immediately following the event. All props must be able to fit through the auditorium’s back doorway. No props can be built or stored backstage.
Participants must attend the dress rehearsal the day/evening of March 22. All members of the group are expected to be there. The dress rehearsal is an exact replica performance of the actual night’s performance. Changes in set, costume, and performance will disqualify you from the competition and are strictly prohibited.
All school rules as outlined in the student handbook are in effect for this evening.
The Talent Show has a prize of $200.00 for first place**
$100.00 for second place
$50.00 for third place
**NOTE: Winners will also receive a bonus dependent upon the number of people in the audience. So bring all of your friends to support you
