Susan Wiley has her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. She also has her Master of Arts in Music Education from Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon. Susan has been trained and certified in the Harmony Road Music Program Philosophy from Jan Keyser in Portland, Oregon. Susan has been teaching the Harmony Road program for 29 years with the first 10 years at Weathers Music Corporation which began in 1996 and the last 19 years at her own music studio. She also has taught private piano lessons for the past 39 years to many students in the Salem area when she moved to the area. She has enjoyed watching these students grow into outstanding musicians and play a part in choirs, orchestras, bands, symphonies and many other musical endeavors. Susan taught elementary music in every school in the Dallas School District for 22 years. Susan also taught Middle School and High School Choirs in Dallas School District for one school year before the program was deleted.  2012-2022 Susan taught part time as a music teacher at Queen of Peace Catholic School to 3 yr. olds through 5th grade General Music and Elementary Choir.   Susan continues to substitiute for elementary music in the Salem-Keizer School District. Susan began taking piano lessons in the 3rd grade when her Aunt moved to Alaska and wanted a home to store her piano in.  Susan continued studying piano lessons throughout her school education and on into college. Susan is married to Randy who is a retired elementary teacher in the Salem-Keizer School District and they have two grown children.
