Dr. Madhura S

I am Dr. Nataraj A. Vijapur, from Belagavi, Karnataka. I have completed B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Karnataka University. I pursued M.Tech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems from Visvesvaraya Technological University. I have obtained Doctorate from Visvesvaraya Technological University on Image Processing Techniques and Classification. My methodological and theoretical research as well as a considerable portion of my applied work addresses the domain of Image Processing, Machine learning and VLSI Design. I have particularly researched on the development of machine learning system for detection of eye disease Glaucoma. This required deep analysis of eye fundus images. My novel contribution lies in detection of Glaucoma at very high efficiency through a combination of structural and textural features of eye fundus images. Extracted features were fed to Deep Convolution Networks and also tested various ML Classifiers for classification.

I worked at KLE Dr. M.S.Sheshgiri College of Engineering & Technology, Belagavi for 18 years and presently working at RV Institute of Technology and Management, JP Nagar, Bengaluru as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. I am the Professional Member of ISTE and IFERP associations and Editorial member and Reviewer for many reputed International Journals. I have presented 26 Papers in reputed peer reviewed International Journals and Conferences. My Areas of Research Interests are Pattern Recognition/Image Processing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Analog VLSI Design and Embedded Systems. I have obtained Deep Learning Certification-Course era Certifications in Neural networks and Deep Learning, Improving Deep Neural networks and Structuring Machine Learning Projects.

I have taught various courses at UG and PG Level for VTU syllabus like Basic Electronics, Analog Electronics Circuits, Power Electronics, Embedded System, CMOS VLSI Design, Digital Communication, Linear Integrated Circuits, Microelectronics, Operating Systems, Electronics Devices, Digital VLSI Design, Design of Analog and Mixed Mode VLSI, Advances in VLSI Design and their respective Labs. I delivered LIVE lectures throughout Karnataka on Analog Electronics Circuits in Visvesvaraya technological University- EDUSAT Program. I have been as Resource Person for Short-term Training Programs on Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence. I was also invited as Chairperson and Jury member for international and National Conferences. Previously, I have served the institute as main NBA and ISO Coordinator. I have motivated and rendered help to many UG and PG students to carry out their academic mini-projects and final year projects. I also served the nation, as a PRO and as an EVM / ALMT Engineer, during Karnataka Assembly Elections.

In Simple words to conclude about myself, I am Passionate to implement my teaching skills and research efforts to contribute to the society.
