This in turn helps people who have difficulty speaking, typing, writing, remembering, pointing, seeing, hearing, learning, walking, and many other things. Provide assistance when selecting devices, systems, strategies and tools that replace or support natural speech known as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Familiarize educators with the importance of visual supports for students in the classroom setting and provide orders to accommodate their needs.
Collaborate with special education staff to assist them in providing appropriate technology opportunities for their students in order to apply knowledge, skills and understanding of technology to instruction and differentiation.
Provide embedded professional development, online resources and recommendations for using technology based interventions in accordance to students’ IEPs.
Collaborate with C&I and Instructional Technology to ensure instructional technology is being implemented using CCSS and ISTE Student Technology Standards.
