This is the 15th year for the Civil Rights Team at Captain Albert Stevens School! Ms. Sara McFarland (Pendleton) is returning as a co-advisor this year! We are inviting up to 25 interested 4th and 5th grade students to meet with us during recess and lunch on a weekly basis. Our goal is to create a more welcoming and safe school for everyone. The Civil Rights Team Project is sponsored by the Maine Attorney General.

Use these “Speak Up” strategies from Teaching Tolerance to help yourself and your children work toward a more inclusive community for us all.
To start this year, we will join schools throughout Maine in celebrating the state-wide Day of Welcome, sponsored by the Maine Attorney General. Stay tuned for more information.
As the days get longer and colder, we're also hoping to sponsor a couple of free movie nights! Watch for details!
