In STEM class the curriculum revolves around hands- on projects and presentations. Exams, class work and homework are less frequent so they will carry less weight. Presentations and projects are graded using a rubric- determined point system.

If you don’t know or want help, ask. Asking for help is part of your Work & College Readiness grade.
Take advantage of open labs after school if you need more time.

“Distinguished” homework earns a "4" and:
Is correct on all major points. Is written in clear, complete sentences.
Provides necessary explanations, examples, and/ or descriptions to support your answer.
Includes original thoughts and analyses & goes beyond expectations.
“Proficient” homework earns a “3” and:
Is correct on most major points. Is written in clear, complete sentences.
Provides necessary explanations, examples, and/ or descriptions to support your answer.
“Partially Meets” homework earns a “2” and:
Mostly correct on a few major points. Is written in sentences (not necessarily complete).
May have unanswered questions.
“Does Not Meet” homework earns a “1” and:
May have one- word answers.
May have omitted multiple questions.
May show little effort.
