We have received complaints about some vehicles coming and going from school grounds. Here is a reminder of the consequences of driving over the speed limit in a school zone.

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are all welcome to attend any of our College Rep visits! We suggest checking our list often in the fall as we add dates regularly to our calendar.
We will have both college and military reps visiting FHS September through November.
Sept. 16-20th: University of Vermont, Regis College, Emerson College, Suffolk University, and Simmons University.

There will be up to 100 schools in attendance. This is a great way to connect with college admission reps and to learn more about these colleges and universities. This event is open to the public and does not require registration.

NEACAC is hosting their annual College Fair on Tuesday, September 17th from 6:30-8:00pm in the Sullivan Gym on the University of Southern Maine Portland Campus. This is a great opportunity for students, parents, and college counselors to meet with admission counselors from over 100 colleges and FAME.

Do you know if you’ll qualify for need-based aid? Do you know how to find colleges that will award scholarships based on your student’s grades and academic qualifications? Are you confident that you can pay for four years of college without the student or the parents taking on excessive debt? Attend this session to learn how to answer these questions. Take control of your student’s college cost by making sure the student has a list of affordable colleges before he or she applies. This presentation takes the mystery out of financial aid and college cost.

FHS is pleased to offer a school-day SAT for seniors only on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity please complete this form. Cost of the exam will be $68. Checks can be made payable to Freeport High School and turned in to the Guidance Office. Please reach out to your counselor if you are in need of financial assistance.

All 11th grade students will take the Digital PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at no cost.
10th grade students have the option to take the Digital PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 9 and will be responsible for the fee of $18. Checks can be made payable to Freeport High School and turned in to the Guidance Office. Please complete this form by Monday, September 9 if your 10th grade student would like to take the PSAT.

Khan Academy offers FREE individualized test prep for the SAT? Simply link your College Board to Khan Academy and you will get individualized practice based on your PSAT data. Khan Academy also offers free full length tests! Though it is best to start studying early, doing even an hour of prep per night for the week prior to taking your SAT can help raise your score. If you're looking for an in-person option, Advantage Prep is a new local company based out of Brunswick offering online test prep for the SAT.
