Thursday, May 8: Fishing and Frogging and dairy Queening Rogers Pond. Bring your own fishing gear or ask ahead and I can bring some extra gear for you!

Monday, May 12: Astronomy Night: Oaks Neck, Gooch’s Beach Kennebunk. 8:00 to 9:30 PM. Come see star clusters, galaxies, and nebulae through the telescope! If we can obtain a permit the day of, we will also plan to have a fire on the beach while the sun sets. Bring anything to cook over fire.
Wednesday, May 28: Tyler Brook Trail Hike: Hike to a small waterfall where a freshwater stream meets the ocean’s high tide mark within the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust Conservation Land.

Tuesday, June 3: Canoe the Mousam River. Learn the basics of canoeing and canoeing safety and join our trip up the Mousam River.

Tuesday, June 10: Surfing at Gooch’s Beach in Kennebunk. No experience necessary. Aquaholics Surf Shop hooks us up with the suits and boards!

May 15: Skate the Kennebunk Skate park. I will bring 3 skateboards. Bring anything else you want to try out there. You must have a helmet to join.

May 22: Fishing & frogging at Rodgers Pond. Bring your nets and fishing gear if you have some.

June 5: SkimBoarding @ Goose rocks beach! Learn how to skimboard over the thin layer of water left over on the sand when the waves wash back towards the ocean. A skimboard will be provided, but if you have one feel free to bring it!

June 12: Surfing @ Gooches beach: Boards and wetsuits will be provided by Aquaholics surf shop. You do not need to know how to surf to join. Come learn to surf!

October 25: Skate the Kennebunk skatepark. Bring anything you want to ride there or just come hang out, drink hot chocolate and enjoy watching your friends! Please bring appropriate safety equipment. Students must have a helmet to ride in the skatepark.

Boards and wetsuits will be provided by Aquaholics surf shop. You do not need to know how to surf to join. Come learn to surf! Bring a towel and warm dry clothes for afterwards.

Bring a bike and a helmet to school. You can leave it outside on the bike racks. Let me know if you need a bike or helmet and I will arrange one for you.

May 14: Fire on Goose rocks Beach. Complete
Learn the basics of fire safety and start your own fire. Feel free to bring something to cook over the fire and share! SKIMBOARDING ALSO! I will bring one skimboard. Bring a bathing suit if you want to give it a try! Skimboarding is when you skim over the thin layer of water left over by a receding wave.

Tuesday 5/9: Astronomy Night and Low Tide Cave Exploration (Complete)
Drop off at Colony Beach @ 6:30PM. We will walk from there to the “blowing cave” (where cars park to look out at Walkers Point on Ocean Ave). We will do an intertidal zone harvest and low tide cave exploration until sunset, then the new Unistellar eVeScope telescope will come out from sunset until pickup @ 9:00 PM

The bus will drop us off at Gooches Beach. Aquaholics surf shop is hooking us up with surfboards and wetsuits! No experience necessary. Bring a towel and a change of clothes. Pickup @ 4:15 PM at Gooches Beach.
Tuesday 6/6: Hike Tyler Brook Trail to Cape Porpoise
The bus will drop us off at the Tyler Brook Trail Entrance. We will hike from there through the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust Trails to Bradbury’s Market. Pickup @ 4:15 PM at Bradbury’s Market, Kennebunkport. Bring money for ice cream*

Hike the Smith Preserve, then walk over to "The Farmhouse" for our fire making workshop with local Native American, White Bear. Learn the basics and safety of fire making at The Farmhouse. Bring anything you want to cook over the fire to share!
