Hi PRMS Rattlers! My name is Ms. Cantu and I am so excited to be entering into a new school year with you all. I will be the Pearson Ranch Middle School Counselor for all 6th grade students 8th grade students with last names M-Z. I grew up in a small town south of Houston. I attended Sam Houston State University for my Bachelor's degree and Texas A&M- Central Texas for my Masters in Counseling Psychology. I will be starting my 15th year in education and have done a little bit of everything, I taught 5th grade ELA and Social Studies. I was a 6th grade history teacher and coached 7th & 8th grade girls basketball and track. I was a middle school counselor as well as a secondary student intervention specialist for a district. I have been working with secondary for 13 years and absolutely love it. When it comes to outside of the school setting, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially if it involves water! I also enjoy watching all my shows or getting lost in whatever book I am reading at the time. I cannot wait to work the middle school students. Please do not hesitate to contact me if your student needs assistance.
