Tutorial Afternoons: Mondays 3:50 - 4:10 PM , others by appointment

can include rehearsal process grades, analysis, tests/quizzes, written critiques,
projects, & performances.
can include participation, theatre/audience etiquette, oral critiques, script writing, worksheets, discussions, & self & group performance evaluations, etc.
Please stay on top of getting your work turned in on time - plenty of time is given in class to complete all work - other than memorization which MAY require some homework time to complete or reinforce.
Check the Schoology Gradebook to be on top of how you are doing & if you have any missing or failing grades you might want to fix!
Grades which are failing (69 or lower) can be corrected/fixed/reperformed to be raised up to a possible 70 when demonstrating mastery of the material.
Late Work : YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for checking the theatre AGENDA/SCHOOLOGY for what you missed & making up all missed assignments. If you have questions, please email Mrs. Baker: Kris_Baker@roundrockisd.org OR message Mrs. Baker using Schoology.
If an assignment is turned in late or was re-submitted to earn a passing grade (within the unit time limit), it may take longer to grade. Be patient.
If you believe I entered a grade in error or missed grading your assignment, please message me via Schoology. I'm not perfect. I'm happy to double check and fix the error if there is one.
Participation is not only doing the activity assigned, but it also means doing the activity with enthusiasm & to the best of the individual’s ability. Participation is also affected by a student’s attitude & cooperation within a group (or the class), audience etiquette, & following instruction.
Theatre/Audience/Classroom Etiquette is best represented by following the class expectations:
listening
waiting your turn
respecting the teacher & your peers with kindness, acceptance, & compassion/sympathy
working cooperatively with a positive attitude & to the best of your ability
no cell phones, no earbuds or headphones unless specified by the teacher
no Chromebook use unless specified by the teacher
no food or drinks other than water
no use of makeup or hair products/styling
respecting the classroom space and keeping it neat
having all of your needed class supplies ready at the start of class each period
completing your work as assigned & on time - if it's Group Work - do your share!
not talking or making distractions during a performance or when someone is talking (peer or teacher)
no horseplay
clapping appropriately - without loud cheering or calling out of names or whistling or stomping, etc. - & similarly for all students in the classroom
not getting up to leave or do something or ask a question during a performance
See our classroom expectations and rules. * AUDIENCE ETIQUETTE is a Texas Theatre TEK and CAN BE GRADED when in relation to a student's behavior during classroom performances & presentations.
