DO YOU LIKE CHANGE? DO YOU LIKE IT WHEN THE SCHEDULE OF YOUR DAY CHANGES?
Let us define "Change" first for this course...change is something that could modify the way we think and live.
Have you ever asked yourself something like "Why does change bother me?"
The simple TRUTH is: everyone is afraid of change.
In this chapter you will learn how Enlightenment scientists and thinkers challenged (changed) old ideas and created new ones regarding science, religion, culture, and government.
Section 1: The Scientific Revolution
Content: In the mid-1500's, scientists began to question accepted beliefs and make new theories based on experimentation and this led to drastic changes in Europe.
State of Ohio Expectations: Describe how the Scientific Revolution's impact on religions political and cultural institutions challenged how people viewed the world.
To do this you obviously have to learn the information in class and be able to fill out a chart like this one. Once you do that you will be expected to transfer the information into essay format on your chapter test.
If you are successful with the chart & you know the facts we can move on to Section 2.
