Hello! I'm Nikki Lux. I was born and raised here in Winona, MN. I earned my Bachelor’s and my Master's degrees from The University of Minnesota- Twin Cities in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish Studies. I have my Elementary 1 Montessori Certification training from the Khalsa Training Center in Tucson, Arizona. I currently live on the outskirts of Winona with my partner Tyler; our 2 year old, Ezekiel; our cat, Rue; our turtle, Dexter; and our dogs, Penny and Riggs. In my free time I enjoy adventuring outside; watching wildlife from our living room; spending time with loved ones; running with the dogs; hiking with my family; working on house projects; reading; and trying new things. I am very excited to be starting my 8th year at Riverway Learning Community! I love Riverway for many reasons, including the families, the sense of community, the focus on protecting and preserving the environment, and appreciating the whole child.
