Realizing, in the blink of an eye, we’re all in our 20’s now

All the inevitable nuances in life that we must face!

But why are we here?

Isn’t this Lau Fau Shan sunset bewitching?

Youth slowly slips through my fingers

If the scenery pleases not, I’d just retreat

I was preoccupied in applying my eye drops

You came near and shielded the wind — we did look like a loving couple

“I’d love to fall asleep holding you, one day,” you said, unflinchingly

I responded with silence but your words crossed the threshold of my heart

“If the waiting takes too long,” I asked,

“Will you leave eventually?”

“Nothing is definite,” you answered,

“So long as I’m not rejecting happiness”

“You and she must have been here before”

“Just as how the sunset of Lau Fau Shan won’t last”

“All happiness shall fade in time,” I added

“But does it mean we should stay where we are, forever?” You asked

“My arms are open for you. Just say yes”

“Why won’t you let me in?”

“I’d like to be there for you. No more lonely tears,” you said

How sweet, yet I said nothing

“I don’t know,” I said

“God knows the next morning who you’ll be after”

“As a matter of fact, I make no one a necessity in life”

“How did you come so close to mess with my mind?”

You smiled and said, “I’d wait”

And one day, maybe, eventually

I’d pluck up the courage too
