Assessment
Max offers all clients who are considering an assessment the opportunity of a fifteen minute phone call with him. This is a cost-free and obligation-free opportunity to help decide if his services are what you are seeking. Please text Max on 0467 540 402 to register your interest and to request your call. Max will reply with some suggested times for you and he to discuss your assessment needs.
Ripple Psychology offers comprehensive assessment of both adult and child ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) with our clinical psychologist Max Mack. Please note that all assessment requires minimum age of five years old.
The full cost for comprehensive assessment and diagnostic report is $2145 including GST, and includes a full cognitive assessment. The process has three stages, requiring two assessment sessions of two hours duration each, and a final one hour summary and feedback session, all usually completed in three to four weeks. In certain circumstances we may be able to expedite the process to two weeks - please advise if there is some urgency.
Session one is 1 hour and the fee of $715 must be prepaid (in one or more installments) prior to the session.
Session two is a 2 hour ADHD assessment, and the fee of $715 must also be prepaid (in one or more installments) prior to the session.
Session three is 1 hour, during which Max will provide feedback and work through his report with you. This session costs $715 and must also be prepaid (in one or more installments) prior to the session. It includes your choice of hard copy (paper) report or electronic report by email, or both.

Additionally, we provide a detailed report that can be shared with your paediatricians or psychiatrists, facilitating communication and collaboration in your ongoing care. This report includes comprehensive insights gained during the assessment process, aiding in the development of tailored intervention plans and treatment strategies.

Comprehensive Learning Assessment: $2600
Ripple Psychology offers comprehensive learning assessments for both children and adults, conducted by our Clinical Psychologist, Max Mack. Learning assessments are designed to clarify an individual’s cognitive profile, learning strengths, and areas of difficulty that may be impacting academic, occupational, or everyday functioning. Assessments are available for individuals aged six years and above.
The full cost of a comprehensive learning assessment and written report is $2600 (including GST). This includes a full cognitive assessment and, where indicated, academic achievement testing. The assessment process consists of four stages and is typically completed within three to four weeks. In some circumstances, the process may be expedited to approximately two weeks; please advise if there is time sensitivity.
Assessment structure and fees
Session One – 1 hour
Initial assessment and information gathering. This session focuses on background history, current concerns, and preliminary assessment measures.
Fee: $715, payable in advance (in one or more instalments).
Session Two – 2 hours
Cognitive assessment conducted with the child. Fee is $585.
Session Three – 2 hours
Further assessment focusing on learning, attention, executive functioning, and academic skills (e.g. reading, writing, spelling, mathematics), where indicated.
Fee: $585 in advance (in one or more instalments).
Session Four – 1 hour feedback session
A detailed feedback and summary session where Max explains the assessment results, answers questions, and works through the report collaboratively with you.
Fee: $715, payable in advance (in one or more instalments).

Our approach
We recognise that each individual’s learning profile is unique. Our assessments use a range of up-to-date, evidence-based tools to ensure a thorough and accurate understanding of cognitive functioning and learning processes. The assessment considers multiple domains, including intellectual abilities, attention, memory, processing speed, executive functioning, and academic skills, as well as the impact of emotional or environmental factors on learning.
Outcomes and recommendations
Following the assessment, a comprehensive written report is provided. The report includes:
A clear summary of cognitive strengths and learning challenges
Diagnostic considerations where relevant (e.g. specific learning disorder)
Practical, individualised recommendations for school, tertiary study, workplace, or everyday functioning
Guidance regarding reasonable adjustments, learning supports, and exam or workplace accommodations
Collaboration and information gathering
Where appropriate, we gather information from multiple sources, including parents or caregivers, schools, and other professionals, to support accurate assessment outcomes. With consent, the final report can be shared with GPs, paediatricians, psychiatrists, schools, or universities to assist with ongoing support and planning.
