SCHOOL CHOICE
The Delaware School Choice program offers students/families an opportunity to apply to attend a school other than their assigned attendance zone school. Click here to locate your attendance zone school. This is your assigned high school based on your address. If you would like to apply to a public high school other than your assigned feeder school, you must submit a Choice Application.
To submit an online Choice Application for the 2024-2025 School Year, click here and follow the instructions. If you submit a choice application, the district/school will notify your parent of your invitation no later than the end of February. Your parent must notify the district/school of your acceptance decision.
Visit the Red Clay Choice Office page for more information.
COURSE CATALOG
To explore the many high school options offered in the Red Clay School District, one helpful resource is the district Course Catalog. Here you can find a summary page for each Red Clay High school that lists the highlights of that school, including but not limited to career pathways, special programs, AP courses, world languages, and graduation requirements.
THE JOHN DICKINSON SCHOOL AND THOMAS MCKEAN HIGH SCHOOL
Most Stanton students live in the attendance zones for these two high schools. Because of that, we have provided information here that is specific to those schools so that students and families can start to explore what is available there.
RED CLAY SPECIAL INTEREST AND CHARTER SCHOOLS
The following schools require additional steps beyond the regular choice application:
Cab Calloway School of the Arts: Learn about Cab's Admissions Process and view recent school choice presentations.
Conrad Schools of Science: Learn about Conrad's Admissions Process and check out the school's virtual open house.
Red Clay's charter schools, The Charter School of Wilmington and Delaware Military Academy, have a separate application process. Please contact charter schools directly for more information.
