Mr. Brian Schwartz is a math enthusiast who loves sharing his passion for math with his students at Suffern High School. He has been the Chairperson of Suffern’s Math Department since 2016, where he has worked tirelessly with the math department and the school’s administration to strengthen the math program and foster an environment of camaraderie and excellence. Mr. Schwartz has been a devoted teacher at Suffern High School since 2004 and during those years has taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, AP Statistics, College Calculus, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. He developed an innovative teaching approach in which he posts video recordings of his class lessons for students to use as review and supplemental material. Before working at Suffern, Mr. Schwartz was a math teacher at Albertus Magnus High School for four years, where he taught Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP Statistics. In pursuit of his mathematical endeavors, Mr. Schwartz completed his undergraduate studies at Pace University (Class of 2000) and earned his Master of Science Degree in Mathematics Education from Iona College (Class of 2005).
