About the Teacher

    Welcome to 4th grade! 

    My name is Wendy Smith.  I am married and have two kids, a son and a daughter.  My son and daughter both attend Pinnacle High School.  Living in Arizona allows us to enjoy one of our favorite pastimes practically year round; boating.  We have enjoyed taking our boat to Lake Havasu, Lake Powell, Lake Bartlett and Lake Pleasant. I look forward to learning about you soon.

   I am a graduate of Arizona State University.  This will be my 23rd year teaching!  This is my 13th year in PVUSD! I have taught in the Deer Valley District and before that, I taught in Sedona and California.  I am very happy to be teaching in the community of Grayhawk! 

    This is going to be a year of growth, independence and self reliance.  4th grade can be a big jump from the primary grades.  It is my hope that the students, myself and parents can work together to make it a smooth transition into the intermediate grades.   

   I look forward to having your son or daughter in my class this year!
