Parents:
Your child was given the opportunity to try-out 3 or 4 different Band instruments this past year: the Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Pbone (trombone). An assessment was sent home for how well your child performed and adapted on each of these instruments. Please keep in mind that this is not a comprehensive evaluation of your child's long-term potential on each instrument, but rather just an indicator of some natural strengths or weaknesses that they may have.
Please understand that most parents will rent-to-own a Band instrument from a local music store that your child can use throughout the year. A FEW scholarship instruments are available from the school and you must indicate to me IF you wish to use one of these instruments IF one is available. You would be responsible for all maintenance and repairs on a school instrument (even wear and tear) during the year. All of the information regarding the purchase of a Band Methods book and supplies that are needed for each instrument are provided to you online or if you ask me for a hard copy.
