The Trading Post Student Store
Through the working in the Student Store students learn to work together in teams, developing leadership, organization, negotiation, and cooperation skills. They also gain strong marketing skills such as:
Real time work experience
Customer service skills
Merchandising and promotional talents
Learn to handle daily business operations
Retail selling skills
Money handling skills
Inventory systems
Students who participate in the program gain confidence and build self-esteem. They have fun! What students gain from working in the school store is a remarkable experience—and even more important, an education for life!
Students learn many lessons from The Apprentice for the real world and in business. From starting a business to how to stay ahead of the competition, students will be able to see relevancy in what they’ve learned during the semester and turn their newly acquired knowledge into real experience. Students will learn leadership, marketing, sales and management skills.

Mrs. Shea’s marketing class will now be using a highly visual computer simulation of a football franchise, which will show students what its like to run every aspect of a corporation, from franchising and sponsorship, to staffing and stadium operations.
