English will be broken up into the following categories:

1. Reading: Independent reading, StudySync, Close reading, book notes, novel studies, elements of literature, Touchstones discussions, research.

2. Writing: StudySync, journals, writing styles and process, research.

3. Grammar: Four level sentences, parts of speech, sentence structure.

4. Vocabulary: Word Within a Word (Stems) Latin/Greek stems, Vocab. Workshop by Sadlier.

5. Speaking/Listening: Close reading, audience etiquette, presentation skills, Socratic Seminars.
