Physical Education Expectations and Requirements
GENERAL RULES: Be Ready. Be Respectful. Be Responsible.
* All School Rules Apply in the Gym! * Food, drinks, and gum are not allowed in the gym.
1. Students will not talk about other students in the locker room before or after class in negative or gossip manner.
2. Students will not touch each other in the locker room or during class time. Exception in the sport the student is playing in class.
3. Students will run their warm up laps in their physical space without interfering with other students.
4. Students will sit in their number squad sitting up and not laying down.
5. Students will sit in their number squads keeping their space.
6. Students will sit forward and eyes forward when the teacher is giving instructions.
Discipline Form Written For Incidents Which Can Include: -Disruptive or Inappropriate Behavior -Disrespectful Verbal Interactions with Any Students or Teachers -Physical Aggression towards Any Students or Teachers -Breaking Any Equipment/Trying to Hang on Basketball Net.
Physical Education Expectations
Students are required to wear P.V.C.P. P.E. uniforms and also wear tennis shoes to class.
1. Students are expected to be on time to class. If they are late they are expected to have a pass.
2. If a student comes late to class with a pass they are expected to do their cardiovascular workout before they can actively participate in the activity.
3. Students are expected to come to class prepared with proper clothing and footwear. (P.E. uniforms only shorts, shirts and tennis shoes must be worn).
4. Students are expected to bring all medical excuses for P.E. to the school nurse and I will receive a copy.
5. Students are expected to ask permission to use the ladies or men’s room or get a drink.
6. Students are expected to demonstrate good, positive sportsmanship 100% of the time. This also includes no swearing, arguing with teacher or classmates and no improper gestures.
7. Students are expected not to chew gum or candy during class.
8. Students are expected to participate 100% of the time unless excused.
9. I have high expectations that most if not all students will enjoy Physical Education class enough to use what they learn outside of the classroom.
