Greetings KA Families,
Well, here we are folks! It is almost finished!! We have a LOT going on this week so please, please read to the end. Fourth quarter assessments are still getting finalized this week and practice for our program Friday will all be happening, so attendance is VERY important. Please return all phonogram cards and sight words on the metal rings. Library books are due back by Wednesday this week. We will continue to do book bags through Wednesday. : ) Thursday is our big Fun Party Day, however it is a regular day of school. EDC is still available for your child on Thursday even though it is our last full day. The upper grades will have school into next week with their last day being Wednesday, May 25. Many of you have not returned your child's permission form for our party/field trip to Uptown Jungle@32nd St. & Shea. Let me know if you need another form. Please plan on coming back to the school for our promotion ceremony on Friday morning! <PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS LETTER> The following are our carpool assignments for Thursday:

No more Phonogram or Spelling tests! Return your phonogram cards and any lost books, sight words, or library books to return back to school for the end of the year. THX!
Last day for book bags is Wednesday, May 18.
May 16 > Summer Birthdays celebration @2:30 on the Kinder playground.
May 19 > Last Chapel for the Year 10:15-10:50 a.m. at SBC-cactus campus
May 19> End of the Year Class Party- Uptown Jungle -32nd St./Shea (10630 N. 32nd St) -Phoenix
Time: 11a.m. ~ 2:15. We will meet at school in the morning like normal. We will not leave for Uptown Jungle (5 min. from school) until after chapel. Pick up kids at PVCP just like normal
*Wear green class field trip shirts and give $17 to Kendra Scheer for the Pizza lunch and entry fee to Uptown Jungle. Be sure to go online and sign WAIVER for your child to play -https://phoenix.uptownjungle.com/waiver/
May 20 > LAST DAY This is NOT a regular school day, it is a ceremony with reception only day. -Promotion ceremony @9:30 a.m. in school gymnasium - Meet in the gym at 9:15 to secure your child's graduatoin cap/tassel and get lined up for the ceremony prior to procession which will start at 9:30. Once program is completed and diplomas are received there will be a slide show. Your children will be released from the stage to come sit with you during this time. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN TO RUN OUT OF CONTROL AROUND THE GYM AT ANY TIME DURING THIS CEREMONY. Thank you in advance : )
Cake reception following the ceremony on Kindergarten Playground - PLEASE do not miss this event! Dressy Attire for students - Students will NOT wear robes, only grad caps. Ceremony + Reception = about 1 1/2 hrs.-ish

May 21 > Saturday @1pm is Chase Alexander's mom's memorial service at Scottsdale Bible Church Cactus Campus (where we have chapel next door to PVCP) If you feel led to come and support Chase and Terri at this time you are definitely welcome to attend- with your Kindergartner too at your discretion.
