I was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. I knew early on I loved math and would want to pursue a math degree. In High School, I realized I wanted to be a teacher. I went to college and earned my degree in 2006. In 2009, I left teaching to become a project manager. Through God's will, I was given an opportunity to teach again at PVCP.
In November of 2016, I was blessed with my first child, Rose Ellen Bell. This has been a fantastic, difficult and wonderful change in my life. With these life changes, I chose to cut back on the amount of teaching I do and only taught at PVCP part time for 2 years.
In June of 2018, we welcomed our 2nd child, Douglas Allen Bell, into the world. Everyone always says having 2 is hard, and they're right! But it's also wonderful. Doug was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic condition: MRD56. This has brought a host of other symptoms we're figuring out, but we're doing everything we can to make sure he has the best support and care. Please always feel free to talk to me about our journey. I am an open book and love to talk to and educate people regarding these rare genetic diagnoses. He is one of 30 known cases in the world! We always knew our baby was special, now we have a way to prove it!
