The Sinking of the Titanic
Find about more about how the Titanic sunk here.
When the Titanic hit the iceberg, it tore through the side of the ship and made large holes where water could come inside.
As more and more water came on board the ship, it got heavier and heavier. Eventually the weight of the water began to pull the ship underwater.
The weight of the ship was too much for the structure of the ship, and the the back end broke off. The front end sunk first, and the back end followed shortly after.
