NGĀ TURE - The Rules

Minimum of 2 players:

The game begins with the saying 

"Ko tēnei . . .te kēmu . . .o te ara pū Māori, , ,ka huri ki a koe!!!" 

while choosing someone on the spot to start the game.

Person 1:    

Begins with saying one syllable while staying in time with the beat, 

Person 2:   

Must complete a whole word that begins with the syllable said while also staying in time. 

Person 2:  

Then starts again with one syllable and passes to the next person and so on...

Feel free to adopt this game, and play with your whānau. It's a great game to get both tamāriki and pākeke thinking!
