Ph.D. Thesis Title: Antenna Selection and Adaptive Power Allocation Strategies for underlay Spectrum Sharing in MIMO Cognitive Radio Systems - COMMANDED
Proposed an Antenna Selection algorithm for MIMO underlay Cognitive Radio systems under the Interference Temperature constraint of Primary Receiver in order to maximize data rate and minimize Symbol Error Probability (SEP) of Secondary User.
Analysed different interference management methods which support underlay Spectrum Sharing scenario and helps in amputate the Interference Temperature constraint.
Proposed optimal Interference Alignment based Antenna Selection and Power Allocation algorithm, in order to maximize the Spectral Efficiency and Energy Efficiency of underlay MIMO Cognitive Radio system under Quality of Service (QoS) constraints. The QoS constraints taken in to account are total power constraint and minimum threshold rate constraint.

Spectral Efficiency Enhancement in Cognitive Radio
Developed an optimal Antenna Selection technique which significantly improves the QoS of the primary user without using interference constraints for MIMO underlay Cognitive Radio scenario. Also proposed an adaptive Power Allocation scheme, which aims at optimum Power Allocation in view of the proportional fairness among Secondary Users. Numerical results were derived for comparing the proposed schemes in terms of outage performance of Primary Users and Secondary Users.
