How do I request training for a new operator in my company?
Training can be requested by contacting your Account Manager or a member of the Account Management Team at Proxibid. To get started, please contact 877-505-7770 extension 2.
Where do I register for class?
Go to the Training Catalog to find an available date and registration link.
When should I request to take my first training class?
The Training team recommends you complete your Part 1 Overview no more than one month prior to running your event. Your Part 2 class should be taken one week prior to your event.
How long will training take?
The entire process for completing training varies depending on your needs but Part 1 classes can take up to 1 1/2 to 1 1/45 hours to complete. The Part 2 class can take 1 hour to an 1 1/2 hours to complete. A demo auction is required to be completed prior to approval to the Part 2 class. The training team gives an estimate of a full 8 hours to complete the entire training!
Can I take training on my mobile device?
We do not suppport taking class on a mobile device or tablet. Part 2 CANNOT be taken using a mobile device and must be completed using a desktop or laptop computer.
Is it difficult to learn? Am I the best fit to run the application?
Do your practice, take it seriously and use your training resources and you should be just fine! Running the Proxibid Live Application can be a very exciting experience as an operator but it is not for everyone. The best person to for running the Proxibid Live application is someone who is able to multi-task with basic knowledge of computers and able to think on your feet.
I have run on another platform. Can I skip your training?
No, the Proxibid application is going to have different functions, reactions and uses that are unique to the Proxibid experience. We make it a priority to have an auctioneer application that functions according the the diversity of events in the auction industry. The application training will walk you through how the Proxibid application can best be used during your event!
I took training over a year ago. Do I have to take it again?
Yes, if you took training but have not run an auction on Proxibid in over a year, we require you to retake the Part 1 and Part 2 to become re-certified. We always looking to update the functions and controls of the bidder and auctioneer application and after a year, full training will catch you up to speed on all changes that have been made since running the application.
How do I access class?
Once you are approved for a class, the email address provided in your registration will be sent a confirmation email giving you the ability to join the class on the date you registered for.
What do I need to do to prepare for Part 1 training?
Verify that you have a stable internet connection, a quiet area to concentrate and a notepad and pen for notes!
What do we talk about in Part 1 training?
The Part 1 training is the basic introduction to the bidding process on Proxibid, how you are interacting with your bidders using Proxibid and the basic structure of runnning lots in the Proxibid Live Bidding Application.
How do I use my demo auction?
You will use your demo auction to practice the skills and functions learned in Part 1. Using one of the four methods listed below, you will practice listening to the auction chant and representing the bidding in the application.
Practice with an Auctioneer calling bids in person
Practice with an Auctioneer calling bids on an internal recording of your past auction
Practice with an Auctioneer calling bids using Proxibid Live Auctions currently running
Practice with an Auctioneer calling bids using the Proxibid Sample Audio Clips
How many times do I need to run my demo auction?
You are required to run at least 15 lots to receive approval for Part 2. The Training team recommends practicing at least three times using different audio methods to fully immerse yourself in the application.
I registered for a Part 2 class but have not received an email confirmation?
Part 2 registrations are a manual approval done after a trainer has reviewed your demo auction.To expedite and guarantee your approval to a Part 2 class, confirm you ran all lots in your demo auction. If you need further assistance, contact your Proxibid Trainers for assistance.
