AP Chemistry

Welcome to AP Chemistry! AP Chemistry is an advanced placement course sequence designed to prepare the student for the AP exam. AP Chemistry is offered on the block schedule (90 minute class time) in a Fall/Spring sequence. AP Chemistry should not be considered college prep, but a college class with college level expectations for behavior, participation and EFFORT. AP Chemistry is a rigorous math-based course with a laboratory component. Students with a strong math background and a willingness to commit considerable time outside of the classroom setting for studying and completing assignments are encouraged to take this course. Students can earn up to EIGHT hours of college credit with score of 3 or higher on the AP exam.
