About Me

I am so happy to be teaching 4th grade. This is my twelfth year as a teacher at Nellie Bennett School.  I love our school and I am a proud Panther!

I received my BA in Education/English from St. Peter's College in 1992 and my MA in Science Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1999. I have been a New Jersey certified teacher since 1992. Ever since I was in the 4th grade I have wanted to be a teacher. My 4th grade teacher, Miss Rizzo, has always been my inspiration. She was so caring and made every one of us feel special. I try to be like her every day.

I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and pets. Living in the beautiful town of Point Pleasant makes me happy! I have been married for 27 years and have two grown children. My husband, Jeff is a retired police officer. Our daughter Erin is graduating East Stroudsburg University in May with a Secondary Education and Biology degree. There will be another teacher in our family! Our son Jeffrey is a sophomore at Arizona State University studying Sports Business. He loves playing sports and enjoys the sunshine in Tempe, Arizona.

I enjoy taking a long, daily walk,  laughing, taking fun road trips, swimming,  and visiting new places. My two dogs are so cute and a little bit naughty. Max is a Chihuahua that we adopted as a young puppy and Ben is a tiny 5 pound Toy Fox Terrier that we rescued 8 years ago. We originally just intended to be his foster family but we adopted him 3 days later! They love to bark at squirrels and monitor our bird feeder. My house is always busy, fun, and noisy but I love it! I cannot wait to learn all about you when we meet.
