All students are expected to return to in-person learning on September 2nd, 2021.

(please keep in mind there is a strict attendance policy and students must be present in the classroom and working on assignments to be counted as present)

2. Attendance policy: If tardy once, the office will be notified and the student will be informed that if they are tardy a second time, it will result in loss of credit and removal from the course. Any absences can only be  excused by the Summer School Coordinator or his designee.

3. A final exam must be taken at the conclusion of all summer school courses and will account for 20% of the final grade.

4. Each 0.5 summer credit shall be 1 hour and 45 minutes in length for a semester course. Each 1.0 summer credit shall be 3 hours and 30 minutes  in length for a full year course.

5. Sixteen 1 hour and 45 minutes class sessions are required for a semester course. Sixteen 3 hours and 30 minutes class sessions are required for a full year course.

6. Students who have lost credit due to attendance may attend summer school provided they: remained in the course for the entire semester/year and have not exceeded the attendance limits for the course.

7. If the summer course (s) is taken to make up a failing grade, students must have been enrolled for the entire course and have achieved a minimum grade of 40 during the regular school year to be eligible.

8. Credit for summer school courses will be awarded only to the amount lost in any individual school year or, as extended by permission of the principal or his/her designee.

9. Students are to be scheduled sequentially in courses, as appropriate.

10. Summer school grades will be recorded on a student’s transcript according to the established grading policy of the high school.
