Emily Rutledge, Mathematics
Miss Rutledge is a new teacher to Plainville and excited for this year with her sixth graders! She hopes to help them grow a love for learning & math! She lives in Berlin and previously taught in Newington. She graduated from University of Hartford and is excited to continue to grow as a teacher. Miss Rutledge enjoys spending time with family, reading, and listening to music.
Karen Baleshiski, Social Studies
Mrs. Baleshiski has been teaching at MSP for 20 years. Mrs. Baleshiski is married and has 3 children: son Steven (28 years old), and daughters Sam (23 years old) and Elizabeth (14 years old). She has 1dog, a German shepherd named Jethro. This summer, Mrs. Baleshiski and her husband took their youngest daughter to Gator World in Orlando and visited with family on Cape Cod.
Karen Miller, English-Language Arts
Mrs. Miller has been teaching in Plainville for 28 years - 20 in 5th-grade at Wheeler. This is her ningh year at MSP, and she is very excited to continue this middle school adventure! Mrs. Miller lives in Avon with: her husband, Scott; her hound/retriever dog, Clyde & German Shepherd/Australian Cattledog dog, Willow. She also has a 24-year-old daughter, Chloe who lives in Rhode Island and attends grad school at UCONN. Mrs. Miller loves to: read, practice & teach yoga, play guitar & ukulele, walk Clyde & Willow, spend time at the beach, and watercolor paint. She also loves all things Marvel!! :)

Amanda Jones - English-Language Arts
My name is Amanda Jones. I grew up in Bristol and graduated from Salve Regina University. I completed my student teaching in grades 9 and 12. Since graduated, I've worked as a longterm sub at the Middle School of Plainville in 7th grade ELA and I am super excited to continue my career here on the 6th grade team. My hobbies include cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
