NC Governor's School

Look forward to High School!

If there is one program that influenced my love of learning it is . . . NC Governor's School.

IMAGINE ... A Summer Program

... where students who are among the best and brightest gather for the love of learning and the joy of creativity

... where teachers and students form a community while searching together for answers to challenging questions

... where there are no grades or tests

... where a synergy of intellectual curiosity fuels the exploration of the latest ideas in various disciplines

This is the Governor's School of North Carolina . . .

Two campuses. One vision. Over fifty years of experience.

The Governor's School of North Carolina is a five and one-half week summer residential program for intellectually gifted high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses. It is the oldest statewide summer residential program for academically or intellectually gifted high school students in the nation. The program, which is open to rising seniors only, is located on two campuses: Governor's School West at Salem College in Winston-Salem and Governor's School East at Meredith College in Raleigh.
