What are Web 2.0 Tools? Web 2.0 tools are web applications that allow the user to create, collaborate, and communicate. Below you will find a list of Web 2.0 Tools; all of the resources listed on this page have been evaluated for ease and effectiveness. I have listed nothing on this page that I could not teach you to use in fifteen minutes or less, and I am more than happy to come assist in your classroom as you introduce these tools to your students. Many of these resources are being used by teachers right now, so ask someone to see how they are using them in their classroom.
Animoto - Turn photos, video clips, and music into stunning video slideshows that can bring your lessons to life.
Bookemon - Bookemon is an online book-making site that lets you create and make your own children's book, kids book, poetry, family history, biography, scrapbooks, and more.
Book Widgets - Create interactive exercises and automatically graded test, assign them to your students, and give constructive feedback.
Capzles - a free creative online tool to create digital stories or timelines. Teachers can use this to visually organize information or students can use it to create projects.
ClassroomScreen - Classroom Screen allows you to create an interactive display. You can quickly get a timer, drawing tool, name picker, work symbols and more. Completely free!

Educreations - Educreations is a community where anyone can teach what they know and learn what they don't. Educreations software turns any iPad or web browser into a recordable, whiteboard.
Edmodo - Provides a safe and easy for your class to connect, collaborate, share content, and access homework, grades and, school notices.
Emaze - Emaze is the next generation of online presentation software. Simply select any of the professionally designed, free presentation templates and create. Similar to Prezi.
Glogster EDU - Poster yourself- Make your interactive poster easily and share it with friends. Mix Images, Text, Music and Video. It is fantastic! A note about Glogster: Glogster is transitioning to a paid resource.
GoAnimate - Make a video online for free with GoAnimate!
gScholar - gScholar gives administrators and teachers visibility and access to student's Google Apps and Chromebook activity. Infographics - Create visual representations of data, information, or knowledge.
Kahoot! - a free online quiz builder that allows students to participate using their mobile devices. Turn your classroom into a game show!
Learerator - Learnerator works with hundreds of schools to improve their standardized scores with student analytics and world-class content. Includes SAT, PreACT, PreAP exam prep, and literature.
Learnist - Share what you know borrow what others know. Learnist is like a collaborative, multimedia interactive eBook that allows users to share knowledge.
Loom - Use Loom to record quick videos of your screen and cam. Explain anything clearly and easily – and skip the meeting. An essential tool for hybrid workplaces.
Noodle Tools - Student research platform with MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian bibliographies notecards, and outlines. We have a school account; for access information, see Lisa Smith.
Padlet - Paper for the Web: Padlet gives you a blank virtual wall. You put anything you want on it, anywhere. Simple, yet powerful.
Pear Deck - Pear Deck is an add on for Google Slides. It allows you to transform presentations into classroom conversations with an array of interactive and formative assessment questions.
Pixton - Create your own cartoons with fully opposable characters & animals! Upload pictures, create freestyle panel layouts, and add sound & voice-over, and much more!
Plickers - Do you want real-time feedback on student learning without having to use "clickers" or student devices to get it? Try Plickers!
Polleverywhere - a great, free tool for conducting formative assessment in the classroom using the students' own devices or a school computer!
Power My Learning - This site offers thousands of free educational games & learning activities for kids in all major K-12 subjects & aligned to the Common Core Standards including art and music.
Prezi - Prezi is cloud-based presentation software that opens up a new world between whiteboards and slides. The zoomable canvas makes it fun to explore ideas.
Random Picker - An online, editable random picker.
Safe ShareTV - SafeShare.tv removes advertisements and other unwanted distractions such as annotation, so that they can be viewed safely without the hassle of first having to download and convert videos with YouTube Downloader.
Smore - Want to promote something online, but don't know how? Smore makes it easy. It's also fun, for a change. Create visually stimulating flyers and share them online.
Storybird - Storybirds are short, art-inspired stories you make to share, read, and print.
StoryJumper - Magical tools make it EASY to bring your stories to life! Share your realistic book with friends or the world and/or publish your own beautiful hardcover book.
Symbaloo - Access your bookmarks anywhere with Symbaloo, a free social service now available.
Tagxedo - Tagxedo turns words -- famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes, even your love letters -- into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text.
Thing Link - Make your images interactive with ThingLink.
Timetoast - Timetoast is a place to create timelines that you can add to your blog or website. You can create historical timelines of important events.
Todays Meet - Todays Meet helps you embrace the backchannel and connect with your audience in real-time.
Visualead - Allows you to generate Visual QR Codes in less than a minutes that are creative, attractive, and intuitive
Visual.ly - Create mind-blowing visual content. These infographics and data visualizations tell your story, drive traffic, and amplify your social media presence.
Voki - Add voice to your Voki avatars. Post your Voki to any blog, website, or profile.
Wordle - Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.
