My NCEdCloud The North Carolina Education Cloud (NCEdCloud) is a service delivery platform for modern instructional and administrative support systems that has the infrastructure, tools, and resources to support all NC Race to the Top (RttT) initiatives. Your PDP and Self-Assessment : To complete or sign your self-assessment or Professional Development Plan (PDP) you will log in to HomeBase through the NC EdCloud. You will need your 10-digit UID number which is your username.

Learn 360 - Provides access to over 73,000 media resources (images, videos, speeches, newsreels, etc.) from trusted educational publishers and producers, which will engage students and enrich learning. Study Island - Study Island is a leading academic software provider of standards-based assessment, instruction, and test preparation e-learning programs. Don't forget that we have access to the AP, SAT, ACT, and Allied Health practice tests at The Island (the high school site). There is even content for the arts and other areas at Study Island.
The Teaching Channel - For Common Core resources, teacher videos, strategies, and lesson plans, go to Teaching Channel. Find great ideas and strategies for use in classroom teaching. Resources for math, English, social studies/history, science, and the arts are available at The Teaching Channel.
TedEducation - YouTube TED's education initiative, is an online library of short, captivating videos that engage inquisitive learners all over the world. The “featured series” is a great place to narrow your search. For example, “Math in Real Life” provides 9 short video lessons to choose from which demonstrate how math is used in the world (answers the “when will I ever need this” question that we all know students like to throw at math teachers!). Or one that I like, “Questions no one knows the answers to” is a great resource for demonstrating the tentative nature of scientific inquiry.
Visual Dictionary Online - This is a great resource to use to find images to use to modify activities, assignments, and assessments for students with modifications (ELL. 504, IEP, etc.). The Visual Dictionary Online, the dictionary with a new point of view. A quick glance at the index is all it takes to connect words with images.
