Updates and Reminders for 9/20/19
- Progress reports went home today, Friday, 9/20. Please sign and return as soon as possible.
- Parent-teacher conferences will be held on Friday, 9/27. There will be no school for students on that day.
- Parent Conference Info:
- Date: 9/27/19 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
- If your student is making a D or F in two or more subjects and you have not received the link to the Sign-Up Genius to sign up for a conference, please contact your student’s homeroom teacher.
- If your student is making a D or F in only one subject, the teacher of that class will contact you for a conference.
- If you do not need a conference for academic reasons but would still like to meet with your student’s teachers, please contact your student’s homeroom teacher to be added to the Sign-up Genius invitation
- Parking passes for student drivers must be purchased no later than Thursday, September 26.
- 7th-12th grades Only---Boxes of World’s Finest Chocolate Bars are available for students who want to raise funds for Spring field trips. Candy may be picked up in Room 202 (Mrs. Hicks’ room) on the following days and times: • Lunch Times—11:40-12:05 Tuesday and Friday
• Before School—7:30-7:50 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
• After School – 3:10-3:30 Tuesday and Thursday
(Only checks and paper money will be accepted. NO COINS, PLEASE)
Parents will need to park, sign in through the office, and go upstairs to Room 202 (Mrs. Hicks’s classroom) to turn in money and/or to pick up candy. Please remember that teachers are unable to provide chocolate at other times. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
Checks should be made payable to Pinnacle Classical Academy. In order for this amount to be applied to the student’s final cost, all money or unopened boxes must be returned by Thursday, October 3, 2018.
***11th and 12th-grade students going on the London/Paris trip may pick up their own candy/turn in money according to the above schedule; however, a permission slip (available from Mrs. Welch) must be signed by a parent before candy can be picked up.***
- Tryouts for basketball will be held according to the following schedule (times and days may change)
- Girls (MS and HS) Wednesday, 9/25 from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
- Boys (MS) Thursday, 9/26 from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
- Boys (HS) Thursday, 9/26 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- Physicals are required before tryouts, and parents are responsible for purchasing uniforms
- The Parent Liaison to the Board is Mrs. Mary Stockham. She is at the campus multiple times a week and is very active. If parents need any help, have questions, or would like to volunteer in some capacity please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Stockham via email at parent@pinnacleclassicalacademy.com.
- Cell phones and all other personal electronic devices (including but not limited to smartwatches, MP3 players, personal computers/laptops, video games, tablets, etc.) are NOT allowed at school during the school day. Any personal electronic device found during the day will be confiscated.
