Step 1

Locate your wireless indicator on your menu bar

Step 2

If the Wi Fi is not turned on then select Turn Wi Fi On

Step 3

Click on the indicator to see the available networks

If there is a lock, the network is password protected and you must have a password to connect to it

If there is no lock this is an open network and you can connect without a password

Select the appropriate network, enter password if necessary in the dialogue box

Step 4

If you are logging into your school network the wireless center log in screen should appear for you to log in.

If that page does not appear you can open your browser and visit any page that frequently refreshes.

An example would be cnn.com.

This should prompt the wireless log in page to appear.

You can then log in using your school district email and password.

Step 5

If you are logging in at home click on the indicator to see the available networks.

Select your home network.

You may be prompted to type the password for your home wireless network.

After entering your password press the join button.

You should now be connected to your home network.
